What is on the page
-
Your name, photograph and profession
The About section: your full name, the picture people recognise you by, what you do, and where you are. It is the only part that has to be filled in.
-
Your own words about you
A few paragraphs at the top of the page saying what you do, who you do it for, and what you are looking for.
-
Job experience, up to 15
Role, employer, dates and a line about what it involved — listed newest first, the way a CV reads.
-
Education, up to 15
Course, institution and years. Optional, like everything below About: leave it out and the section is simply not on the page.
-
Certifications, up to 15
What you hold, who issued it and when — the ones that decide whether somebody trusts you with the work.
-
A portfolio of 10 pieces
Three across the page and the rest reachable by scrolling, under a heading you choose — "Selected work", "Case studies", whatever fits.
-
Pictures or YouTube videos
Each piece takes an image link or a YouTube link. A video plays in the page; a picture fills the frame. Nothing to upload — the work already lives somewhere.
-
A link with your own words on it
"Read the case study", "Open in the App Store", "See it live". A bare address tells nobody anything.
-
A Hire me panel
Your hourly rate in your own currency, what somebody actually gets for it, and the three things worth knowing before they ask.
-
24 products or services
The same shape a business gets: a name, a description, 3 photographs, 3 specs, a price with your own words in front of it, and a button that says what you want it to.
-
Contact details and social handles
Email, phone and WhatsApp as buttons, plus the ten platforms people actually look you up on.
-
Found by country and county
The directory filters on where you are, and members see people in their own part of the world first.
-
3 free edits after it is published
Then 1,000 coins an edit. What is live stays exactly as it is until somebody has read the new version, and the run does not restart.
-
Extend it from My listings
When the run is ending, or after it has ended, add another 60 days or Lifetime* from the listing itself. The time is added to what is left, never restarted.
How buying it works
- 1 Buy it here. The 2,000 coins leave your balance now.
- 2 Write the listing whenever you are ready — there is no time limit on an unused one.
- 3 Admin team monitors all listings.
- 4 It runs for 60 days from the day it is approved.
If it is turned down
Something fixable — wrong section, thin copy, a dead link — and the listing comes straight back to your account to correct and post again. It costs you nothing twice.
Something against the rules — gambling, adult content, anything illegal — and it is forfeited. A refund there would make breaking the rules free to keep attempting.
See listings already up* Lifetime means for as long as Help Barter exists. It never needs renewing.
