What is on the page
-
Members are sent to you, one at a time
Not a card on a board somebody might scroll past. Your website is put in front of a member on its own, with a button, and they have a reason to press it.
-
Everybody gets their turn before anybody gets a second
However many websites are listed, all of them are shown once before any of them is shown again. Being behind is what puts you next, so a quiet week cannot leave you sitting there unseen.
-
Your city first, then your country, then the world
A member in your city sees your website before one from three countries away. Nothing is hidden from anybody — it is the order, not a filter.
-
They have to look at it to answer
A member says which of four categories your site belongs to, and cannot move on until they get it right. That is a visit with somebody actually reading the page.
-
You see both numbers
How many times your website was put in front of somebody, and how many of them opened it. The gap between the two is yours to read.
-
Read by a person before it goes up
Every website is opened and read against the content rules. Nothing is published automatically here.
-
3 free edits after it is published
Then 1,000 coins an edit. What is live stays exactly as it is until somebody has read the new version, and the run does not restart.
-
Extend it from My listings
When the run is ending, or after it has ended, add another 30 days or 3 months or 1 year or Lifetime* from the listing itself. The time is added to what is left, never restarted.
How buying it works
- 1 Buy it here. The 2,000 coins leave your balance now.
- 2 Write the listing whenever you are ready — there is no time limit on an unused one.
- 3 Admin team monitors all listings.
- 4 It runs for 30 days from the day it is approved.
If it is turned down
Something fixable — wrong section, thin copy, a dead link — and the listing comes straight back to your account to correct and post again. It costs you nothing twice.
Something against the rules — gambling, adult content, anything illegal — and it is forfeited. A refund there would make breaking the rules free to keep attempting.
See where they appear* Lifetime means for as long as Help Barter exists. It never needs renewing.
