Featured Ad

What it is

An offer, a discount or a promotion on the Featured Ads board: a picture, a headline, three lines and a button that goes straight to your offer.

What it does for you

• One click to your offer — the button goes to your own page or shop, with your own words on it ("Book a table", "Get 20% off").
• Seen by people browsing for deals — the board is visited by people who came to look at offers.
• Shown fairly — every ad gets its turn (see below).

What goes in an ad

• A picture — cropped to a 3:2 card on the board, shown whole on the ad's own page.
• A headline and up to three lines.
• The link your button goes to, and the words on the button.

What it costs

Pay in Store Coins, Time Coins or both. Buying in the store needs a Premium or Elite membership. "Lifetime" means for as long as Help Barter exists.

Step by step: from buying to live

1. Open it in the store

   Store → Featured Ad. The page shows what is included and every run on offer.

2. Choose how long, and buy

   Pick a run, pick how to pay (Store Coins, Time Coins or both) and confirm. You now hold one Featured Ad credit — nothing is public yet.

3. Write it

   Go to My listings and press List a featured ad. Upload the picture, write the headline and three lines, and add your link and button words. Writing costs nothing more: your credit pays for it.

4. Submit it for review

   Admin team monitors all listings. You can still change a listing for free while it waits.

5. It goes live

   You get a notification, and it appears on the Featured Ads board for the run you bought, counted from the day it is approved.

Once it is live

• Edit it from My listings. The first 3 edits are free, then 1,000 coins each. Every edit is read again; your live version keeps showing while it waits.
• Extend it before or after it ends — the new run is added to the time left, never restarted.
• Deactivate it to take it down for a while, and reactivate it later. The run keeps counting down while it is off.

How ads are shown

Ads are rotated so the least-shown ad goes first: nobody is left waiting for days while somebody else gets the views. People are shown ads from their own region and country first.
