Mutual Swap
Two members help each other at the same time — a straight trade.
What it is
A Mutual Swap is a straight trade. You help them with something, they help you with something, at the same time. "I'll proofread your essay if you fix my spreadsheet."
The board lists members who have Mutual Swap switched on in Help Settings.
What it costs
A swap is two ordinary helps running side by side. You pay 200 Time Coins for the help you receive and earn 200 for the help you give — so when both sides finish, you are exactly where you started, with two jobs done.
You still need 200 Time Coins to start, because your side is held while the work runs.
Step by step
- Open Mutual Swap and press "Propose a swap"
On the board. A conversation opens with both of your opening messages — each says what that person offers.
- Press "Interested in Work" on their work
The card under their message is the work you would do for them.
- Press "Accept Help" on your own work
The card under your message is the help they would give you. You must say you are interested in theirs first — that is what makes it a swap.
- They do the same on their two cards
- Each of you presses "Start work" on the other's work
Each side starts separately once both are agreed. The 24-hour clock runs for each from its own start.
- Mark done, confirm, done
Each side is finished and confirmed like any help.
Your two cards
- Their side — work you do for them. Your buttons: Interested in Work, Start work, Mark work done.
- Your side — work they do for you. Your buttons: Accept Help, then Confirm when it is done.
Proposed Swaps List & Progress shows every swap as one row with both sides, and a "Both sides completed" mark when it is finished.
Good to know
- One swap at a time with the same person: a second is refused while a side of the first is still open.
- If one side is called off, the other carries on as an ordinary help.
- Swaps count toward the Mutual Swap weekly reward — for the helper of each side.
